Welcome to Emerald Lines. These terms and conditions govern your use of our logistics and freight forwarding services, website, and any related services provided by Emerald Lines ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Service Definitions

Freight Forwarding: The coordination and shipment of goods from one international destination to another on behalf of shippers.

Logistics Services: The planning, implementation, and control of the movement and storage of goods, services, and related information.

Incoterms: International Commercial Terms that define the responsibilities of buyers, sellers and service providers for the delivery of goods under sales contracts.

3. Service Scope and Limitations

Emerald Lines provides the following services:

  • Air freight forwarding and logistics
  • Ocean freight forwarding and logistics
  • Land freight and transportation
  • Customs clearance and documentation
  • Warehousing and distribution
  • Supply chain management

Service Limitations:

  • We do not transport hazardous materials without prior written approval
  • Certain goods may be restricted or prohibited by international regulations
  • Services are subject to availability and capacity constraints

4. Booking and Documentation

Booking Requirements:

  • All shipments must be booked in advance with complete documentation
  • Accurate cargo descriptions, weights, and dimensions are required
  • Proper packaging and labeling according to international standards
  • Compliance with all applicable customs and trade regulations

Documentation: Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and any required permits or licenses.

5. Liability and Insurance

Liability and Guarantees:

  • We guarantee the integrity of all documents and processes undertaken to fulfill our services with full regulatory compliance
  • We ensure accurate and timely customs documentation preparation and submission in accordance with international trade regulations
  • We maintain strict adherence to international shipping standards and best practices for cargo handling and transportation
  • We provide transparent tracking and communication throughout the entire shipping process
  • We guarantee proper packaging and labeling compliance with international shipping requirements
  • Our liability is limited to the actual value of the goods as declared by the client
  • Any applicable international conventions (Warsaw Convention, Hague-Visby Rules, etc.) shall apply to all shipments
  • We commit to maintaining the highest standards of data security and confidentiality for all client information

Insurance: We recommend that clients obtain appropriate cargo insurance. While we may assist with insurance arrangements, the ultimate responsibility for insurance coverage lies with the client.

6. Payment Terms

Payment Schedule:

  • Payment is due within the specified number of days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • Advance payment may be required for certain services or clients
  • All charges are subject to change without prior notice, unless covered by an ongoing contract.
  • Emerald Lines kindly requests that clients adhere to agreed payment schedules. Late payments may result in service interruptions and additional charges.

Additional Charges: Clients are responsible for all additional charges including but not limited to customs duties, taxes, storage fees, demurrage, and detention charges.

7. Force Majeure

Emerald Lines shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters, or severe weather conditions
  • Government actions, regulations, or restrictions
  • Labor disputes, strikes, or work stoppages
  • War, civil unrest, or terrorism
  • Equipment failures or technical difficulties

8. Claims and Disputes

Claims Process:

  • Claims must be submitted in writing within 14 days of delivery
  • Supporting documentation and evidence must be provided
  • Claims will be investigated and responded to within 30 days
  • No claims will be considered after the 14-day period

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration as determined by applicable law.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal and business information. All data collected will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Emerald Lines and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Emerald Lines is registered. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

12. Amendments

Emerald Lines reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
